Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Medical Assistant (MA) to support residents and clinical staff in a senior living and memory care setting. You will contribute to respectful, organized care through patient service, clinical assistance, and accurate documentation. Qualifications are a strong work ethic; desire to improve and work with others and compassionate and caring attitude. We can train the rest!!

Your impact: By supporting timely intake, vital signs, and clear medical records, you help residents and care teams make informed medical decisions about their care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care, intake, vital signs, and medication administration within the scope of the role.
• Support phlebotomy and maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Provide medical administrative support, including appointment coordination and routine office tasks.
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, and clinical colleagues while protecting privacy.
• Follow established procedures and applicable safety practices.
• Perform spot checks and training to new and existing team members to ensure proper procedures for our high standard of care are being followed.

Skills

• Medical assisting, patient care, patient service, medical terminology, and medical documentation skills.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and EHR management; knowledge in common medical terms and diagnosis for the elder is also beneficial.
• Basic life support (BLS) and experience with phlebotomy, vital signs, or medication administration are relevant.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology; medical office experience or medical office management is useful.
• Experience in geriatrics or internal medicine is helpful.
