VNS Health Psychiatric Social Workers provide vital client-centered behavioral health care to New Yorkers most in need, across all stages of life and mental well-being. We deliver care wherever our clients are, including outpatient clinics, clients’ homes, and the community. Our short- and long-term service models include acute, transitional, and intensive care management programs that impact the most vulnerable populations, from children, to adolescents, to aging adults. As a Psychiatric Social Worker, you will develop exceptional diagnostic skills and use behavioral intervention techniques to de-escalate crisis situations. You will provide vital social services and connect clients to resources that help them remain safely in the community. Compensation Range:$33.85 - $42.33 Hourly

Qualifications

• Current registration to practice as a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York State Required as determined by operational/regional needs 

• Valid driver's license may be required  

• Minimum of one year experience as a Social Worker in a health care setting required as determined by operational needs, bilingual skills may be required Must be able to walk up and down steps to access patient residences  

• Master’s degree in social work after successfully completing a prescribed course of study at a graduate school of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and the Education Dept
