Job Summary:
In partnership with Health System, the Hospital Diabetes Clinician is responsible for educating patients with diabetes in both inpatient and outpatient settings. They will also work alongside physicians and a network of hospital clinicians assisting in identifying complex inpatients who require diabetes education and support; and provides the education personally and/or guides the staff nurse on required learning needs prior to discharge, including changes to medications, dietary orders or others of their expertise.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm ET. On-call one weekend a month.
Location: Ballad Health Hospital in Greeneville, TN. Must be comfortable traveling to various other hospitals in the Tri-Cities area.
