Position: Nurse Practitioner - Physical Medicine and Functional Medicine

Location: Annapolis, MD

Job Type: Full-time with opportunity for practice partnership/ownership. Total pay includes base salary and incentive-based payments.

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our practice. As an integral part of our team, you will collaborate closely with our provider and other healthcare professionals to deliver personalized care plans encompassing physical medicine and functional medicine principles. This position offers a unique opportunity to impact patient outcomes through a lifestyle medicine approach to healthcare.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients using both physical medicine and functional medicine paradigms.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate musculoskeletal medicine techniques coupled with lifestyle medicine.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Provide patient education and support to foster active participation in their health journey.
• Collaborate effectively with our provider and nutritionists, as well as other healthcare providers to coordinate care and ensure continuity.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and practice standards.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in Maryland.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation or related field preferred.
• Must be willing to learn trigger point and perineural injection techniques. Experience with Intraarticular injection preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in functional medicine practices and principles.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to educate and empower patients.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
