💼 About the Role
We are looking for an RD/RDN (100% virtual) to help patients improve their nutrition to manage their chronic conditions. In this role, you will work closely with the co-founders and early clinic customers to build out care pathways and provide high-quality nutrition plans for patients.
🥇 Skills and Requirements
- Active Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
- 1+ years of experience implementing evidence-based practices in patients with chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, obesity, autoimmune conditions, or digestive disorders).
- 1+ years of practice or training in lifestyle medicine, integrative medicine, or whole-food plant-forward modalities.
- Minimum commitment of 3-5 hours per week.
- Licensed and/or credentialed in one or more states (preferences for Texas, Florida, Illinois, California, D.C., New Jersey, and New York).
- Note: if you’re not licensed in any of these states, please apply anyway! We can work with you to help you get licensed and credentialed.
- Nice to Have Experiences: telehealth, care program development, certified diabetes educator, familiarity with health coaching techniques (such as motivational interviewing), previous healthcare startup experience.
🧭 Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients and develop personalized meal and nutrition plans based on patient’s health conditions, existing habits, food preferences, and budget.
- Working with patients (over video, phone, and text messaging) to create and implement nutrition plans to improve their chronic conditions and achieve their health goals.
- Regularly check in with patients (over video, phone, and text messaging) and discuss their goals, progress, and challenges.
- Track patient’s progress towards their nutrition goals, provide 3-day feedback about patients’ meal tracking, and make changes to the plan as needed.
- Collaborating with health coaches to implement a patient’s nutrition plan.
- Educating patients about nutrition, physical activity, and other wellness topics, and staying up-to-date with the latest nutritional research.
- Maintaining documentation of all patient encounters, and submitting monthly reports to patient’s doctor and clinic staff about client progress.
- Collaborate with the co-founders to build out clinical operations and care pathways, as well as provide input on product features.
💰Compensation and Benefits
- We compensate generously – we’ll pay in the ~70-90th percentile for dietitians in your region.

About Flair Health
Flair Health is a virtual extension for medical practices, providing high-touch nutrition and health coaching services to patients with chronic conditions. We support clinics by providing their patients with a virtual care team of dietitians and health coaches, as well as a technology platform for patients to set lifestyle goals, track their progress, and access personalized meal/exercise recommendations.
We work with patients between their regular doctors’ visits in three main ways:
- Personalized nutrition plans from a dietitian, based on the principles of lifestyle medicine (whole-food, plant-forward diets). We modify these plans based on the patient’s chronic condition(s), budget, and food preferences.
- Biweekly meetings with a health coach to set lifestyle goals and stay accountable to them.
- Daily feedback on pictures of meals to guide a patient’s decision-making and provide accountability.
In short: we enable doctors to offer lifestyle medicine to their patients, covered by insurance and without any additional time and effort by the clinic. Our ultimate goal is to help 100 million Americans reverse their chronic diseases through data-driven lifestyle medicine.
